Start your Saturdays with Carol, Marjorie and some relaxing, stress-free yoga. Everyone is welcome, beginners especially! Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Bring your own yoga mat or use one of ours (limited availability). A signed waiver form is required.

Yoga Mondays

Embrace the warmer spring months with the help of a gentle yoga practice. Classes are free and 75 minutes long. Please bring your own yoga mat. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis but limited to thirty (30) participants. The library will hand out thirty (30) FREE tickets starting at 10:15 a.m. A ticket is required to enter the class. One ticket per person.

We'll explore all of these possibilities at the "Future Funk Ready: DCPL Music Resources and Beyond" workshop, hosted by librarian, Margaret Gilmore. You'll learn how to navigate dclibrary.org to find resources pertaining to music, about DCPL's physical music collections, and what local music artifacts exist in the DCPL archives. Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, or a few mats will be available for use. First-time attendees will be asked to sign a participation waiver. Age-Friendly DC Yoga Workshop

Older adults are invited to try yoga for the first time or to deepen their existing practice at these free gentle yoga workshops taught by Robin Glantz. The workshops are free and open to the public, but we ask that patrons respect the intended age group -- adults over the age of 50! Please bring your own yoga mat.
