Toddler Art and Stories

Get up and get creative at our Toddler Art and Stories! These 20-30 minute programs are full of books, songs and art activities that  are designed to help develop your child’s language and motor skills. After storytime, your child will participate in a process-oriented art project to explore art materials and the world around them. Process-oriented art focuses on what can be learned from the act of making art rather than the product.

Don't miss S.T.E.A.M. Team!  Every month we’ll do a different hands-on activity exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Monthly activities include science experiments, tech demonstrations, graphic design, mathematical games and more. All supplies included - just bring yourself. Ages 6 & Up in the Southeast Library meeting room. Children under 9 years old must have a parent with them on library premises.  Hand-on activities may require caretaker help and supervision.

Snapshots of a Bike Journey

In celebration of National Bike Month, 826DC will present a writing workshop. Young writers will journey through the children’s room, writing about what they see, feel, and hear on an imaginary bike journey. Writers will document their experiences in their journals and on self-decorated postcards.
