Teen Self-Defense Workshop

The Chevy Chase Library will be hosting a teen self defense workshop as part of our "Own the Night" teen summer reading program.  The workshop will be on Aug. 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  Our guest instructor from the self-defense organization Defend Yourself will teach:

Come Write-In!

Work on your novel or other writing project, meet other local writers and enjoy refreshments at the Chevy Chase Library!  We will be holding write-ins every Wednesday in August from 6-9 p.m. in the meeting room.

Saturday Crafts!

This Saturday: 8-Bit Key Chains

This Saturday, July 7, we will be making keychains inspired by vintage videogames from the 80's.  Use plastic fuse beads to make replicas of Pac-Man, Mario and other favorites!  The program starts at 1 p.m. in the Teen Space.   

Teen Summer Reading Creature Feature

This Friday: Insidious

At 2 p.m. this Friday, July 6, we will be screening the 2011 horror film Insidious as part of "Own the Night", our teen summer reading program. This movie is PG-13 and is open to teens 13 and older. Hope to see you there!
