Visitors of all ages enjoyed a day of imaginative play and thought- provoking literature, beginning with the Graffiti Wall and Story Petting Zoo. The Graffiti Wall program consisted of a large paper banner on which children
wrote messages, wrote about their favorite books and drew pictures. During the Story Petting Zoo, children shared interactive stories from picture books and re-told the with puppets and flannel-board scenery and characters.
In the afternoon, children used props to portray a character during the Strike-a-Prose Photo Booth program, with hilarious results. Local poet Truth Thomas rounded off the day with a reading from his latest collection, Bottle of Life.
