I just can’t stop droolin’… I love library nights! As soon as I saw my favorite brick building, I started to pick up the pace. I couldn’t wait to get to the children’s room to see Miss Julie and all the kids.
I was a bit alarmed to find I was unlike the other PAL guests tonight. They were all Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and as you know, I am a hearty golden retriever. A lesser man may have felt self-conscious. Me? Not bothered one bit. I strolled on in, greeting one and all as I entered, smiling at the compliments to my sporty University of Michigan go, blue collar and leash ensemble.
Then, I settled in to hear some stories and to enjoy the petting. Let’s see if I can remember all the books… There was Dogs on the Bed by Elizabeth Bluemle. I give that one four paws! And then I heard The Trouble with Heathrow by Rodney McRae. Hee. Hee. I give that one three paws! And oh! Oh! Oh! The Cuddle Book by Guido van Genechten. I loved that one. Four paws!
Well, it’s football season! So, if you’ll excuse me, I have some TV to watch.
Later,
Leo
