Hello, fine people. I had such a magical evening at the library tonight. Some of my good PAL friends were there to wish me a Happy Birthday! Yes, I am a birthday girl this month! Every November I put on my pretty, pink Birthday Princess shirt and celebrate my favorite time of the year.
I also enjoyed seeing the children; many of them remembered me from when I visited last month. And they had so many books to share with me. I heard A Boy, a Dog, a Frog, and a Friend by Mercer and Marianna Mayer. The dog was as cute as can be in the book! I also heard Pantaloon by Kathryn Jackson. Silly stuff! Next was Kipper’s Birthday by Mick Inkpen. That was a timely choice! Then I heard Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne, and a most unusual book called Baloney, Henry P. by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith.
And I was pleased as punch to have both of my parents accompany me to the library this evening. My birthday dreams came true: to be surrounded by people who adore me and want to spend time with me.
So very happy,
Aubrey
