Hello, fine friends. C’est moi, the ever-refined, fashion-forward, five-year old (mas o menos) PAL grandee. Demurely, I slipped into the library this evening, gracing the room with my plum-purple knit sweater. It was a lovely contrast to my pewter gray coat.
My chauffeur* carried in one of my favorite books from my personal, home library Five-Dog Night by Eileen Christelow . It appears the library does not own a copy and I have been meaning to complete a recommendation to order form however my typist* has been away on vacation.
There was good cheer and holiday spirit in the library this evening. I was simply delighted to receive a piece of jewelry from Miss Julie and the Friends of the Chevy Chase Library as a token of thanks for my service. And, ooh la la, do I love my jewels!!
Books are my love. J’adore les livres! I heard Mog’s Christmas by Judith Kerr, Peg Leg Pete by Brie Spangler, and Clifford’s Kitten by Norman Bridwell.
After this evening’s festivities, I slipped out of my sweater, nibbled on a delicate snack of sliced apples, julienned carrots, and chilled water (whipped up by my personal chef*), and then curled up with another book. You see, I forgot to mention that, earlier in the day, I helped with the yard work. While the gardener* raked leaves and collected fallen debris, I gathered sticks and help to mulchify them. As I am not used to physical labor, I found myself most exhausted from the exertion and simply needed a bit of “Moi Time”.
Au revoir mes amis et bonne annee!
