Hello, one and all! My name is Max, and I am a curly-coated retriever. I am a hypo-allergenic dog, similar to the first dog Bo. (Note: There are lots of books at the library about Bo. Maybe you’d like to try First Pooch: The Obamas Pick a Pet by Carole Boston Weatherford or The First Pup by Bob Staake.)
Believe it or not, I was the runt of the litter. That means I was the smallest of all my brothers and sisters when we were born. I have come a long way since then. One of my greatest accomplishments is that I became a PAL dog. And, as a PAL dog, I come to the library once a month to listen to children read.
Tonight I heard many, many good stories. Here is a list of my favorites:
- Little Dog and Big Dog Making a Mistake by Dav Pilkey
- The Puppy Twins by Sarah Willson
- Busy Doggies by John Schindel
- I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More! by Karen Beaumont
- Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell
Good bye to one and all,
Max
