Published on Friday, October 2, 2009 - 10:51am
Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, the DC Public Library’s hours will change at all locations.
Library service will continue to be offered seven days a week. The hour changes include:
Neighborhood Libraries
- Closed on Sundays beginning Oct. 11.
Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library
- Open on Sundays from 1p.m. – 5 p.m. all year long
- Closed on Monday and Tuesday mornings, opening instead from noon – 9 p.m.
The library’s hours changed in order to operate within the District’s FY2010 budget, which was reduced by nearly 11%, or $4.8 million, from the FY2009 budget.
