Come by on Wednesday, September 21, at 7:30 p.m. to hear these local poets:
Nancy Arbuthnot is the author of Wild Washington, two books of poetry translations, and is professor emerita at the Naval Academy:
"Out of the Potomac shallows
the hippopotamus rose -
so legend goes - "
Nan Fry is a teacher at the Writer's Center and the Corcoran School of Art, and is the author of Relearning the Dark and Say What I Am Called:
"I lived in cities after the fire-lord
plunged me in flames."
Martin Galvin is a teacher at Walt Whitman High School, the University of Maryland and the Writer's Center, and is the author of Wild Card, Sounding the Atlantic and Circling Out:
"Feed me,
Cookie jar, or I'll break your empty heart
in two..."
And look for more readings at Tenley this fall -- every third Wednesday evening!
