A fortune cookie – that was my Halloween costume this year. And I admit, I looked NOTHING like the cookie in Fortune Cookies by Albert Bitterman or Fortune Cookie Fortunes by Grace Lin. I may be a petite doggie… yet I make a mighty large 14lb. fortune cookie!
It would be fun to dress up for Thanksgiving. I would love to wear a bonnet like Sarah Morton in Sarah Morton’s Day: A Day in the Life of a Pilgrim Girl by Kate Waters. Maybe next year…
At the library tonight, Miss Julie asked everyone what they were thankful for. I am very thankful for good health. As you may remember, I was a very sick doggie at the beginning of the summer. I had terrible troubles with allergies. I feel great now and am back at the library listening to stories. Pilot Pups by Michelle Meadows was one of my favorite stories of the night!
Best of Barks!
Zàijiàn – that’s “Goodbye” in Mandarin.
