MLK Week Essay Contest

Explore the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and participate in our essay contest! The contest is open to all teens ages 12 - 19. Teens must have a DC Public Library card to submit an entry.
In 250-500 words, reflect on how you see the work and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. expressed in your community today.
The winner will receive a special prize, and Northwest One Library will publish the winning essay on the library website.
Please email submissions to northwestonelibrary@dc.gov or hand them in to Ms. Bobbie @ Northwest One Neighborhood Library.
The deadline for entries is 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 14. One entry per teen.
