Chevy Chase Library Hosts Hunger Action Station
This month, as we celebrate the premiere of the film adaptation of The Hunger Games, various DC Public Library locations, including the Chevy Chase Library, will host Hunger Action Stations. At these stations, library patrons and staff may pick up literature about the problem of child hunger in Washington, D.C. as well as bring donations of canned foods and dry goods for our partner, Martha's Table. Our goal is to bring greater attention to the cause of eradicating food insecurity issues in Washington, D.C. We hope you will join us in our combined efforts to increase awareness of this important issue.
We will be running this program from March 10th through the 31st. Our Hunger Action Station is located near the entrance and food items can be dropped off any time the library is open.
