Mother's Day Selection: 'Eloise's Mother's Day Surprise'

Lisa McClatchy gives some traditional Mother's Day ideas in her Ready-To-Read Level 1 picture book titled Eloise's Mother's Day Surprise.  This is a nice book to read with a young girl around six years old, partly because the main character, Eloise, is also six.

In the story, Eloise shows real joy in shopping for her mother's gift; reading the book draws you into the excitement of the shopping trip.  Eloise is very thoughtful and the story ends with a pleasant surprise.
