XIX International AIDS Conference Comes to D.C.

This week the Petworth Neighborhood Library welcomes The XIX International AIDS Conference to the city with a display of related materials and a screening of the documentary After Stonewall.
The 2012 International AIDS Conference will be held in Washington, D.C. the week of July 22-July 28. For more information on the conference and to learn about other conference events, visit the official website.
Please join us on Monday, July 23 at 7 p.m. in the large meeting room for a showing of After Stonewall. This documentary explores the history of the gay rights movement, starting in 1969 after the Stonewall riots and through to the present. This movie has a runtime of 88 minutes and is free and open to the public.
Before you leave, don’t forget to stop by the display and check out some of the library materials related to AIDS and HIV.
