Black Congressional Caucus: Info Session

This event, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Auditorium (A-5), features a 3-part panel discussion that focuses on issues related to U.S. active duty military and veterans who are African immigrants.
It is sponsored by National Association Black Veterans and U.S. African-Born Military and Veterans.
Panel One: National Security
Includes representatives from AFRICOM, the United States Africa Command; Sen. Adam Smith, ranking member of the Armed Services Committee and FBI representatives. They will discuss security and African engagement.
Panel Two: Trade and Commerce
Representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services. U.S. African-Born Military and Veterans will discus issues related to health care for veterans and their families.
Sen. Adam Smith, Rep. Sheila Lee, Rep. Gwen More and Sen. Christopher Coons (or a representative from their offices) are expected to attend.
