Explore the power of youth and meet three courageous heroes who helped shape history during the civil rights movement.
In a captivating live theater performance, you'll hear the compelling experiences of:
- Ernest Green, the first black student to graduate from an integrated high school;
- Claudette Colvin who, months before Rosa Parks, also refused to give up her seat on the bus; and
- Ruby Bridges, who was only six in 1960 when she stepped into first grade--and into history -- as the first student chosen to desegregate an all-white school in New Orleans.
The audience will be able to ask questions in the Q&A session to follow.
Ages 5-13.
Performance facilitated by Class Acts Arts and funded in part by CapitalOne.
