According to author Dan Buettner, there is a particular set of behaviors, that if adopted, could extend your life by up to 10 years.
Mr. Buettner followed several hundred study participants for his book, Thrive: Finding Happiness the Blue Zones Way. The behaviors include adopting a positive outlook, and getting proper rest, fresh air and exercise.
However, the nexus of all these behaviors is adopting a vegetarian diet.
Join us for a seminar on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m., where we will examine the basics of transitioning from meat consumption to a diet that is rich in vitamins, fiber and vegetable consumption. A practical step-by-step plan will be explored and questions will be answered by experts from the nonprofit organization, A Vegan Life.
Delicious samples of vegetarian food will be provided by Woodlands Café. We will meet in the lower level meeting room.
