Fantasy Book Club
Fantasy books are a great way for readers, especially young readers, to imagine a world different than their own. This spring, the Francis A. Gregory Library will host a Fantasy book club for children on the second Monday of each month at 5 p.m. James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl will be our first selection.
The book tells the story of James, a young boy who mistakenly drops special crystals by the peach tree near the home of his two mean aunts. Magically, the peach tree starts to grow; James makes new friends, and is taken on the ride of his life, literally! One of Dahl’s classic stories about childhood, James and the Giant Peach will leave readers amazed and entertained until the story’s last page. All children ages 8-12 are invited to attend!
