How It Feels to Be Colored Me

In celebration of Women's History the month, the Anacostia Neighborhood Library will read and reflect upon one of the finest literary figures of American culture, Zora Neale Hurston.  In particular, the book club will discuss, How It Feels to Be Colored Me. This title was and remains very important to the literary movement of the time.  

How It Feels to Be Colored Me was first published in the year 1928.  Argued by many to be one of the most important essays about the African American experience. Please join the Anacostia Neighborhood Library staff to discuss this book that is still relevant almost a century later. Page Turner Thursday's will meet on March 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.  Parking is available in our secure parking lot, in addition, street parking is available.
