Queenan's Crime Scenes
Published on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 - 9:39am
In part two of this BBC World Service documentary series examining the relationship between real locations where crime occurs and how these inform home-grown, hard-boiled crime literature, Queenan travels to the current hotspot for crime fiction, Stockholm, where he speaks with Jens Lapidus and Camilla Lackberg, the latest in a growing line of best-selling crime writers about the role Sweden plays in their novels. Queenan also speaks with Superintendent of the Stockholm Police Richard Berglund and police officers Kiterina Stromberg and Sara Vandenblum about the recent rise of certain types of crime found in Stockholm and how actual case histories inspired Steig Larsson.
