Lena Horne, a great American actress, singer, and dancer, passed away May 9, 2010. She starred in a number of movies in the 1930's and 1940's that featured a cast of mostly African American entertainers. Cabin in the Sky and Stormy Weather are probably the best known films of this era. In the 1980's, she starred on Broadway in a one woman show, Lena Horne: the Lady and Her Music.
