Author Talk by Calvin Goddard Zon

On Saturday, June 12 at 2 pm, Mr. Calvin Goddard Zon, will present a program about the Civil War and Reconstruction based on material he collected through newspaper articles and the papers of his great-grandfather, Henry P. Goddard.
Mr. Zon's presentation is based on the book, "The Good Fight that Didn't End: Henry P. Goddard's Accounts of Civil War and Peace, a book he edited. Great-Grandfather, Goddard, was a union soldier who fought at Antietam and Fredericksburg. He was wounded at Chancelorsville. In addition to first-hand accounts of various battles, Mr. Zon promises to share little-known and unpublished
anecdotes about Abraham Lincoln and Mark Twain who was a good friend and neighbor to Mr. Goddard.
