<div class="content clear-block"><p>Meeting rooms are available at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library and most neighborhood libraries. There are two easy ways to reserve a meeting room:</p><ol><li>The library’s online system—a faster, easier way. See below.</li><li>All meeting room reservations are online, or walk-in only.</li><li>No call-in reservations.</li></ol> <h3>Using the Meeting Room Reservation System</h3><p>Our online system makes it easy to reserve a room. They may not be used for personal or commercial interests.</li><li>A series of meetings from one organization or individual will be approved only on a quarterly basis.</li><li>DCPL reserves the right to change or cancel reservations in event of emergencies, or if library property is not cared for properly.</li><li>There is no charge for meeting space.</li><li>Approval to serve refreshments or food must be obtained through prior written consent from the library manager in the case of a branch library, or from the Associate Director, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library.</li><li>Meetings shall be conducted in an orderly manner, disturbance of others using the same room shall be avoided, all public safety regulations shall be observed and the group shall be fully responsible for all damage to library property occasioned by use of the facility.</li><li>Meetings must be open to the general public and admission to the public must be free of charge.</li><li>No regular classroom meetings are permitted.</li><li>No collection of funds or any other thing of value shall be made during any gathering.</li><li>All members of the organization and the audience must leave the room by the<br>time specified on the meeting room registration form.</li><li>Number of people attending the meeting should be provided to neighborhood library staff or Martin Luther King Jr. Library staff (Audrey Middleton).</li><li>For Martin Luther King Jr. Library, if audiovisual equipment is to be used, a separate application form must be signed in advance of the meeting. Note: Beginning June 15, 2011, the Library will no longer offer audiovisual support services to individuals or organizations scheduling meetings or events at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library. We apologize for the inconvenience.</li><li>The number attending a meeting at one time may not exceed the capacity of the room as established by the Fire Marshal.</li><li>Tipping of library employees is not permitted.</li></ul>All private groups and individuals are eligible to use library meeting rooms provided that all forgoing requirements and restrictions in the policy statement are observed.
