Summer Reading and Back to School Celebration

Join us as we celebrate Summer Reading and Back to School at the Anacostia Neighborhood Library. The celebration will take place on Thursday, August 19, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Planned activities include:
- Spelling 'A' for first to sixth graders
- Summer Reading Awards
- Library card sign up
- Live music from Mr. Derby
- A local resident, Jali- D, Spoken Word Artist
- Giveaways and prizes
- Light refreshments
- Free haircuts for boys, ages 7 to 12, by Tony from Klassic Kutts
Registration in Anacostia's 2010 Summer Reading program is required for special giveaways. Supported by the Friends of the Anacostia Library, the Fairlawn Association and the staff of the Anacostia Library.
