Breaking Barriers: Ban the Box--The Fair Criminal Records Screening Act

Are you a jobseeker with questions about criminal records? Do you believe that your criminal record is preventing you from getting or keeping a job? A new D.C. law passed in 2014 says that certain employers are not allowed to ask questions about criminal background on initial job application forms, and can only ask about criminal convictions after a conditional offer of employment is made.
