In this 2-hour class, you will learn to use the basic features of Web-based email and the significant function of attaching a document, such as your résumé, to your email transmission. The job search process requires that you have an established email account. Seats will be filled on a first-come, space-available basis. Instructor: D. Introduction to simple Web page design, using the HyperText Markup Language (.html). Seats will be filled on a first-come, space-available basis. Instructor: T. Nguyen Computer Lab, Room 311 Required Skills: The ability to read and comprehend English well, and the skills acquired in PC Basics, Word I Basics, Word II Intermediate, Web I Basics, Web II Intermediate and Email Basics. A significant amount of typing is required! You will learn to: Use four basic HyperText Markup Language tags.

Resume Writing and Cover Letter Workshop and Lab

This 2.5-hour workshop will feature how to maximize the use of Microsoft Word résumé templates to create a dynamic résumé that sets yours apart from the thousands received by an employer. Several websites will be explored to expand your knowledge and effective use of keywords and action verbs, with an emphasis on why both are important to your résumé construction.

In this 2-hour class, you will learn to use online job boards and job search engines to find the right job for you. Discover where you can build your résumé online. Learn the steps to an effective job search and the organizational tools to help you stay on top of your job-seeking process. Seats are filled on a first-come, space available basis. Instructor: N. You can get information about issues such as criminal record sealing, credit reports, background checks, obtaining driving and professional licenses, resolving child support arrearages, wage theft, and other issues.
