Destruction Derby

Do you have broken electronics that you want to repair or disassemble? This is a drop-in workshop where you can bring in your broken or discarded electronic devices to either repair them or to destroy them! Kids (6 and older) and teens welcome. Learn about electronics and DIY repair. Please note that you must have completed your Fab Lab orientation to attend this program. Sign up for orientation and other classes here.

Advanced 3D Printing Workshop

This is an advanced workshop for FabLab users who have already taken their 3D Printer Certification Class and are looking to practice their skills. Drop in at any time during the workshop and start tinkering! You MUST have taken the 3D Printer Certification class, no exceptions. Registration is required for this class.

Join us in the Fab Lab for a new edition of Maker's Social Club.  This month, the Maker's Social Club will be celebrating Heroes Day!  Bring out your inner superhero and create a piece using the design software Tinkercad and our 3-D printers.

Learn everything you need to know about creating files for the laser cutter and using the machine. All participants need to have taken Fab Lab Orientation. Open Stories: Poetry, Murals, and Monuments Exhibition

Please join us for the closing of the Open Stories: Poetry,  Murals, and Monuments exhibit, which documents the people and the poets who attended the walking tour that took place on June 18, 2016. This exhibition will be displayed on the first floor of the library, and will include photographs, video, and excerpts from local D.C. poets. Refreshments will be served.

Maker's Social Club: Mermaid Day!

New month, new theme: Join us for another edition of Maker's Social Club. We will be celebrating Mermaid Day!  We will be be creating all things mermaid using the design software Tinkercad and our 3-D printers.  There are limited spaces, so register online at bit.ly/labsclasses. For children 6 and older, teens and adults. Children ages 6- 12 must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times.
