Join the ladies of FREED (Female Re-Enactors of Distinction) as they perform dramatic re-enactments recounting the stories of women of the Civil War era. FREED is an auxiliary organization of the African American Civil War Museum. Their mission is to “educate the public and to promote the accomplishments of the African American Civil War soldiers and the women who supported their fight for freedom.”

Children’s programming at the Tenley-Friendship Library will be taking a short winter break from Dec. 19 through Jan. 2. No onsite programs, including story times, will be offered.  During our break, children and teens are encouraged to participate in Winter Reading to earn prizes.
