Come and participate in the chess club activities at the Anacostia Neighborhood Library. Every Thursday, engage your chess moves with other players.This program is open to youth ages 10 to 16.

Chess Club

The Francis A. Gregory Library Chess Club meets weekly on Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. We welcome players of all ages and abilities.This program will be held in the first floor meeting room unless otherwise noted.

Chess Challenge in D.C.: Chess Tournament

That's right! bring on the pink and purple chess boards, tiaras and cupcakes and join the fun as girls of all ages (women too) learn strategies for playing and winning at chess. This popular class is growing.Best for ages 2-4 (with parents) and girls and women 4 and older.

Chess instruction focused for girls only. Girls ages 4 and older meet to learn strategies for learning to play and compete in chess.Best for ages 4-14.
