I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Did you know July is National Ice Cream Month? Well, the Northwest One Library is celebrating by teaching children how to make homemade ice-cream. We will be using simple everyday ingredients to make it. Not only will children enjoy their tasty creations, but they will learn the science behind how it was made. So join us. We look forward to seeing you.

Kids Club: Hats!

The theme of the day is hats! We will read stories and sing songs about hats, try on different hats, and make our hats own to take home.

In the Zone: Ukulele Teach 'n Play

This month's In the Zone is brought to you in collaboration with Tenleytown Main Street and Middle C music store. Learn to play ukulele with instructors from Middle C! Ukuleles will be provided for hands-on learning. This event is part of Tenleytown's celebration of Make Music Day.
Japan in a Suitcase


Join us to explore Japan & Japanese culture with a presentation and craft activity. For ages 5-12. Children under the of age 9 must be supervised by a parent or responsible caregiver.

Day at the Beach

No time to visit the beach? No problem! The beach is coming to your library on Sunday, July 24. Visit the Children's Department to bask in the “sun” on a beach towel with your favorite book, play in the sand, make a jellyfish craft, and catch a wave, all at MLK library! Fun for ages 0-12 and their caregivers.
