Children's Programming Break: August 18 - September 4

It's intermission time! Pardon us as we take a break from our regularly scheduled programming for vacation and planning/preparatory time for our Fall schedule.Our programming will resume on Friday, September 5 with a special story time to honor Grandparents' Day at 4 p.m.

Library Card Sign Up Month Celebration

September is National Library Card Sign Up Month! Celebrate by getting a card or bringing a family member or friend to get a card of their own!Today we'll be encouraging families to bring their children in to get library cards. Each child or family who signs up for a card will get a free children's book while supplies last.

Back to School Family Story Time

Back to School Night

Are you ready to head back to the classroom?  Or maybe you are preparing for your first day of school!  Join us for this evening story time where we will read books and sing songs in preparation for heading into the classroom.  Join us after the stories for a special craft where we will create our very own pencil cases!  

Hora de Cuentos/ Spanish Story Time

Join us for books, songs, and rhymes in Spanish! Cuentos, canciones, rimas, y más para niños de 2-5 años. ¡Les esperamos!

Preschool Storytime

Each weekly program will include songs, fingerplays, action rhymes and picture books. Occasionally, we also hope to have instruments, flannel board stories and puppets.  Groups are welcome. Ages 0-2.5.

Dog Days of Summer

Dog stories, songs, craft, and more.  For ages 3 and up.

Glover Park-Burleith Farmers' Market Story Time

The Georgetown Library will be doing offsite story times between 9:30-11:30 a.m. for children 0-5 at the Glover Park-Burleith Farmers Market, located at 1819 35th St. NW Washington, DC, just two blocks from the library.  

Batman Days
