The Southeast Kids' Book Club meets on the last Wednesday of every month at 4pm!
At each Kids Book Club meeting, we discuss the book we've read, enjoy a fun theme activity, and enjoy snacks. Participants will also vote on the next book we'll read! New titles are typically introduced so participants can pick the perfect book to read at home. Stop by or call to inquire about the current title we’re reading!
Join us as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month with stories from many Nations!
Afterward, children can make a craft using letters from the Cherokee language.
For children ages 6 and up and their caregivers
Jeffrey Lionel "Maniac" Magee might have lived a normal life if a freak accident hadn't made him an orphan. After living with his unhappy and uptight aunt and uncle for eight years, he decides to run—and not just run away, but run. This is where the myth of Maniac Magee begins, as he changes the lives of a racially divided small town with his amazing and legendary feats.
