This film tells the story of Mama C, an African-American woman who grew up in Kansas City and became a community activist and member of the revolutionary Black Panther party in the 1960’s, leading protests to force the local administration to recognize the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King. This film will be followed a discussion. This program is co-sponsored by IPI’s Culture In Your Community Series.
