Free Health and Computer Literacy Class

The Anacostia Neighborhood Library is proud to host P.I. Advocates International, Inc. (PIA), for a dynamic workshop.  On July 31, PIA will offer a free computer training class to teach community members new skills, such as understanding software applications and navigating the Internet.

Have you ever thought about owning your own home, but didn’t know how to begin the process?  Help is on the way!  The Anacostia Neighborhood Library is partnering with AAA Home Solutions for a multiple part-series on the rewards of home ownership.

New Anacostia Library: Now Open

The new Anacostia Library, 1800 Good Hope Rd. S.E., is now open.  The new 22,000 square foot library opens with more than 40,000 books, areas for children, teens and adults, Mac computers for teens, 32 computers for the public, community meeting rooms and more.  Check it out.A Grand Opening Party is planned for Saturday, May 8, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Story times, arts and crafts, performances and more.
