Check out our Maker Kits!  These Maker Kits have the supplies for different kinds of experiments - from week to week, you may encounter activities like making a recyclable bird feeder, a LEGO duck, and more. Find us on the 5th floor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library and pick yours up on Thursday evenings, starting September 2nd. We'll look forward to seeing you!

Let's face it, there are some pretty funny and memorable commercials out there. Every Thursday for the next month we will be showing the most hilarious commercials we can find from around the world. Commercial hour will start September 9th from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the projector in the teen room.

Safety Orientation

This orientation is required to participate in any activity, event, or workshop at the Fabrication Lab. The first step before using any Fab Lab equipment. The Fab Lab is designated for use by persons aged 13 and older. Children between 6-12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. During the brief orientation, you'll be introduced to the Fabrication Lab's policies and procedures. Labs staff will check your ID and give you an electronic Participant Release Form to sign.

3D Printer Orientation - Ultimakers

Welcome back! Your first session with these machines will include a safety orientation, a waiver, and a brief introduction to the machines. The rest of the time during your first session and following sessions will be for your own use. These appointments are 1-on-1 and will require you to wear a mask to ensure staff and patron safety. Active certification for reservation is required. To ensure equitable use of library facilities each user is limited to one machine for three (3) consecutive hours per day and no more than three (3) reservations per thirty (30) day period.
