Toddler Story Time

Get up and get moving at our Toddler Story Time. This 20-to-30-minute program is full of books, songs and fun activities designed to help develop your child’s language skills. Children ages 18-36 months and their grownups are encouraged to engage with the stories and activities and participate in the program.  Space is limited; participants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Have a group? Please call 202-698-3377 ahead of time to arrange a special visit.

These 30-to-40-minute programs are designed to promote language and listening skills, expand children’s imaginations and arouse their curiosity about the world around them.

Gentle Yoga

Join our instructors for a free one-hour yoga class every Tuesday morning at the Georgetown Neighborhood Library. The 10 a.m. gentle yoga class is designed to accommodate all skill levels and ranges of motion, especially targeting adults ages 55+ and those with limited flexibility. Please note that there is a late-arrival policy for all Georgetown Library yoga programs: Anyone arriving more than five minutes after the start of class will not be able to enter the classroom.

You'll be able to receive expert instruction on creating beautiful pieces for yourself or others. All ages are welcome. This program is free and open to the public.

On weekdays from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.*, the program room is open for free play for caregivers and their young children. Please note, no eating is allowed in this room. After 3 p.m., young children must vacate the room so that it can be used for quiet study.

The library is offering free 2016 Microsoft Office Specialist Certification exams to people who first pass a Jasperactive™ Benchmark. Benchmarks are offered in Word Core, Word Expert, Excel Core, Excel Expert, PowerPoint Core, Access Core and Outlook Core. Benchmarks are proctored and offered in the Computer Lab located at Library Express (1990 K St. NW).
