Words Beats & Life encourages creativity and fosters production techniques utilizing the cultural heritage of Washington, D.C. Teens will create murals with multi-color stencils on parachute cloth, wheat paste their creations on temporary walls throughout the city, plus learn about digital music production with DJ mash-up instruction, all while utilizing inspiration from the likes of Langston Hughes, Marvin Gaye, Bad Brains, Wale and other artistic DC legends.

Join The Sign of the Times with Mr. Greggs for a photography workshop for ages 10-15. This workshop will teach the youth how to use different types of cameras focusing on basic camera functions, good picture taking skills and documenting changes in the community. All workshop will expose the youth to books of famous, local and national professional minority artist in photography. This program is free and offers a great experience for youth. Tuesdays and Thursdays June 27 - August 13, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
