Ever wonder what it's like to play hopscotch in the dark? Now you can find out! Join us for a phosphorescent Kids' Club full of glowing games, dancing and fun. This program is for elementary-school aged children (6-12) and takes place in the basement program room. Caretakers with children under 6 are asked to enjoy the library upstairs while siblings 6-12 participate in the activities designed for them. Children under 9 years old must have a caretaker in the building at all times.

Create a different project with us every week as we explore art, music, science, and technology.  Dive into Maker and create projects such as mini robots, helicopter games, racing cars, airplanes, musical instruments, movies, computer programming games and more! Maker takes place every Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the children's space.  Recommended for children ages 6 and up.  Maker: noun A person or persons employing do-it-yourself (DIY) techniques to develop unique creations and inventions for useful purposes.

Come practice your English conversation skills, talk about ideas and events, and make new friends.  The facilitator will start us off with a topic but bring your own for the group to discuss. This 20-30 minute program is full of books, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for children birth to two years old. Our Baby and Toddler Story Time is a great way to introduce your child to language skills in a positive and fun environment. Children and their grownups are encouraged to engage with the books and songs and to actively participate in the program.  Space is limited and admission is on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and story time starts at 9:45 a.m. Have a group? Please call ahead of time to schedule a special visit.

NorthStar Digital Literacy Assessment - Practice Session

The NorthStar Digital Literacy Assessment and Certificate are respected workforce credentials that affirm your competency in basics digital literacy skills.  This one-hour practice session will allow you to prepare for the proctored sessions of the NorthStar Digital Literacy Assessment, during which you can earn a NDLA Certificate.  However, Certificates are not awarded during this practice session. Seats are limited to 12 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

This 20-30 minute story time introduces books, songs, rhymes, tickles and bounces developmentally appropriate for children ages birth to when they start walking.This story time is designed so the baby will be in their caregiver’s lap and the grownup is actively involved in the program.  Tickets are required to attend this program. They are available at the Children’s Desk 30 minutes before the start of the story time on a first-come, first-served basis.
