Join the Cleveland Park Library at The Rosedale Conservancy (gate at 35th & Newark streets NW) on Wednesday mornings this spring and summer!  These hour-long programs will include a 20-30 minute story time followed by half an hour of playing and socializing time.  Our story times are full of books, songs and fun activities and are designed to help develop your child’s language skills. Children birth-5 and their grownups are encouraged to engage with the stories and activities and participate in the program, grownups along with the children.

Get up and get moving at our Toddler Story Time. This 20-30 minute program is full of books, songs and fun activities that are designed to help develop your child’s language skills. Children ages 12-36 months and their caregivers are encouraged to engage with the stories and activities and participate in the program along with the children. Tickets are required to attend this program. They are available at the Children’s Desk 60 minutes before the start of the story time on a first-come, first-served basis.

Papitám (Algonquin for “Let’s Play”) is a learning-through-play experience that teaches kids about Native American traditions: make a Sisku (clay) pot, practice safety archery at our Ahtu (deer) station, listen to a Piscataway story by the indoor fire and wrap things up with drumming and dancing! Do you like to build with Legos and solve puzzles? Join us to work through engineering and science activities like, "who can build a paper airplane that carries the most cargo over 10 feet," or just come to build with Legos and relax after school. We'll have a different short science activity each week at the beginning and Lego building afterward. This program is recommended for ages 4 and up.
