Interested in being a poet or writer? Do you keep a diary, write stories, or poetry?Come and join our Young Adult Writing Club; meet new friends and old with a common interest.  We will meet every Friday at 3:30 p.m. starting in January.  Please call for more information.

Job and Career Information for Ex-Offenders

Friends of Deanwood Library Membership Meeting

Come help form our Friends of the Deanwood Library Group.  Do you have a little time to contribute? Are you interested in plant or books sales? Deanwood Idol Dress Rehearsal

Deanwood Idol casting call and dress rehearsals:  Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 8:00 pm.  Can you sing? Present your poetry? Rap? Dance? Play a musical instrument?  Or would you like to be a judge?  Sign up before Monday, November 8 2010.  Program will take place on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 6:30 pm.  Prizes will be awarded plus Win a free recording session!

Celebrate National Gaming Day

Join libraries across the USA at the Deanwood Neighborhood Library on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.  We will focus on the social and recreational side of gaming.  Gaming at the library will encourage customers of all ages to interact with diverse peers, share their expertise and develop new strategies for gaming and learning.  At the new Deanwood Library, kids can socialize with their friends and meet new friends and play board and video games while surrounded by books, librarians and a real world of knowledge.

Celebrate Teddy Bears

Come celebrate teddy bears.  Learn the history of the first teddy bears and how they got their names.  Enjoy stories, poems, songs and tasty treats.  Wednesday, October 27, at 1 p.m.  Ages 6-10.
