Alma Thomas

A Life in Color

Visit the exhibit Alma Thomas: Life is Color, on view on Floor 2 of the MLK Library during the library’s regular public hours. On the same floor, view original watercolor studies by Thomas, donated to the library by D.C. residents Susan and Dit Talley, which are displayed on a rotating basis near the Alma Thomas Teen Space and the Children's Area.

The exhibit was installed as part of the Washington, D.C. Citywide Celebration of Alma W. Thomas: Everything Is Beautiful at The Phillips Collection, October 30, 2021, to January 23, 2022. Access more information about the program partnership here.
