Let's Communicate in American Sign Language: Beginning Level

Let’s Communicate in American Sign Language: Beginning Level   Tuesdays 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM   February 4 — April 28, 2020    Bring your lunch and join us at Noon for weekly ASL classes in the Library Express Training Room.    This Beginning Level class will cover 100+ ASL vocabulary words and rules of grammar.   Review what you know, learn new signs, and practice conversation. Although focus is on beginners, everyone is welcome to join the class, regardless of skill level.

Tech Talk Tuesdays

Learn to use your cell phone with accessibility. Tech Talk Tuesday is run with an iOS curriculum from 5 to 6 p.m. and a drop-in clinic with as close to one-on-one help as possible from 6 to 7:30 p.m. You can meet with staff or volunteer trainers for help with iPhone or Android devices and accessibility. Tuesday nights at Library Express, 1990 K Street NW (Entrance on 20th St).

In this two-hour class, you will explore and navigate the Windows 10 platform functions & features, including the new Start Menu, Windows 10’s digital assistant, Cortana, the new Quick Access feature in File Explorer; selected features of the Settings menu and much more.
