In this two hour class, you will learn the basic features of the Microsoft Excel 2016 spreadsheet environment that are frequently used for calculation and data entry functions in the workplace.  Seats are limited to 12 participants and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The NorthStar Digital Literacy Assessment and Certificate are respected workforce credentials that affirm your competency in basic digital literacy skills. A photo ID will be required to log on, and a passing score of 85 percent on each assessment will be required to receive the NDLA Certificate during this 1.5-hour proctored session. Join us for skill assessments for adults who need a high school diploma (GED or National External Diploma) and tutoring for those with skills at the high school level.  Assessments take place on Saturday mornings only, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tutoring takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Please note: In order to qualify for tutoring, you must take the assessment first. If you have passed the Jasperactive™ Benchmark in the 2016 Microsoft application for which you are seeking MOS Certification, Register to take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Exam on this date. The MOS Exam lasts 50 minutes. There are three time slots available between 1 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Seats are limited to 12 workstations per session.

Let’s Communicate in American Sign Language: Beginning Level   Tuesdays 12 Noon – 1 p.m.   June 25 — August 20   Bring your lunch and join us at Noon for weekly ASL classes in the Library Express Training Room.    This Beginning Level class will cover 100+ ASL vocabulary words and rules of grammar.   Review what you know, learn new signs and practice conversation. Although focus is on beginners, everyone is welcome to join the class, regardless of skill level.
