Come to the Lamond-Riggs Library every other Tuesday beginning on March 5 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.. We are glad to walk you through the various steps of a job search, such as resume formatting, cover letter writing, creating an email account and completing online job applications.

This 20-to-30-minute program is full of books, songs, rhymes and finger plays for children birth to 2 years old. Our Baby and Toddler Story Time is a great way to introduce your child to language skills in a positive and fun environment. Children and their grownups are encouraged to engage with the books and songs and to actively participate in the program.

Brainy Board Game Night

Student? Job hunter? Retiree? Use DC Public Library resources (such as Lynda, Universal Class, Mango Languages and more) to upgrade your skills and reach your goals. Lamond-Riggs Library staff will be on hand to consult with and to help participants connect with needed resources.

Medicare/Medicaid 101 Information Session for Seniors

Staff from the Carroll Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center located on the campus of Providence Hospital will provide information to community residents on accessing their Medicare benefits and also how to access Medicaid benefits administered by District of Columbia Government. The information session is aimed at adults of retirement age and is expected to last about 45 - 60 minutes with time for audience questions.

Come Read to Your P.A.L.

Join dogs from People Animals Love (P.A.L.) for a special story hour on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month featuring an opportunity for children to meet and read with dogs. P.A.L. story hours provide a great way for your budding reader to get some reading practice in with an attentive and patient audience.
