From Leo's Diary: August 2, 2011

Now that’s what I call a shindig! Hot diggity dog! I was Top Dog tonight, an official Party Animal! I wore a paw lei and a party hat, and Miss Julie had on her doggie PJs. When I walked into the Takoma Park Library, everyone sang, “Happy Birthday, Dear LE-O-O-O.”  I felt like a rock star. There were balloons and doggie treats and lots of human and doggie friends -- lots of love. All the kids made me cards – in blue, my favorite color, and gave me hugs and kisses and read my favorite doggie stories to me. It was a birthday to remember!

It’s hard to believe that four years ago today, I was just an itty-bitty puppy not more than a couple of handfuls of fur.  I have seen baby pictures of myself, and I can assure you, I was a cutie! And now, look at me… Four years old, a certified PAL dog, a contributing member of society, a big loving family, and more friends than I ever dreamed of…! Golly, it makes a guy stop for a moment to take it all in.

Slobbers to Miss Julie for hosting my birthday bash! She knows how to make a four-year-old feel special.

Go Blue!
Leo
