Black Voices Book Club Anniversary

Dear Neighbors,

September marks the two-year anniversary of the Black Voices Book Club at Shepherd Park Neighborhood Library, and we want you to join us.

The book club meets the third Monday night of each month, from 7 to 8:45 p.m., on the second floor of the library. The book club focuses on fiction by African-American, Caribbean and African authors. Books we select are available in the DC Public Library system and are placed on hold for club members to check out.

There is still time for you to join us on September 19 to discuss our 24th book, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. To learn more about the book, the past books we have read, and more, please become our fan on Facebook by searching for "Black Voices Book Club - Juanita E. Thornton/Shepherd Park Library."

Club members are a diverse, committed and energetic group. We look forward to you joining us on Monday, September 19, at our next meeting, or any time.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 202-541-6100, or visit the library.
