From Pablo's Diary: Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Ooopsies! It was an accident. Honest! My kitty Max and I were playing. I love Max-ie! Well, I guess we got a little rough, and poor Max got hurt. I feel terrible. I’ve been thinking about what I could do to let him know how sorry I am. I decided Une poème de Pablo might make the peace. So, here goes:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
Sorry Dear Max,
for your boo-boo.

I hope Max forgives me. He’s like a brother to me! And it’s hard when your best friend/brother won’t play with you anymore.

Stories cheer me up. And tonight I heard a lot of stories. I heard Clifford to the Rescue by Norman Bridwell. He’s my hero that Clifford! He gets into trouble and predicaments, yet always manages to save the day somehow! And I heard a new book by Mo Willems called City Dog, Country Frog. Mr. Mo didn’t draw the pictures for that book. Usually he does, like in his Elephant and Piggie books: I Broke My Trunk and Should I Share My Ice Cream? An artist named Jon J. Muth drew the pictures. Both styles of pictures are pleasant, in different ways.

Well I am off for an evening stroll before bed. This chilly, wet weather reminds me of my native Scotland. It’s perfection. I think I’ll grab my tartan scarf to fully embrace the experience.

Happy wags,
Pablo, PAL Dog Extraordinaire!
