Don't miss it...Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., featuring the dynamic DC Youth Poetry Slam Team. Writers and performers of all kinds and all ages are invited to share their talents in a supportive
environment--the southwest Neighborhood Library. The suggested theme for February's open mic is "Creating African-American History."
All promising singers/poets/beat makers/rappers/actors are encouraged to sign up and participate at Southwest library. A subsequent open mic night is scheduled for March 14 with the suggested theme: "Honoring Women Writers/Performer/Activists," also from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
