Learn About Microsoft Word, in Four Parts

Image with text: Microsoft Word 2010A four-part Microsoft Word class will be offered in April on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The classes will cover all major aspects of Microsoft Word versions 2007 and 2010. Part one will be offered April 10. The other three parts will be offered on the following Tuesdays, with the fourth and final part  offered May 1. These classes are free and open to the public. They will be offered by Deanwood Library staff in the Deanwood Recreation Center Computer Lab.

Class #1 will introduce students to basic Microsoft Word environment as well as mouse and keyboard navigation skills.
Class #2 will cover selecting text with mouse and keyboard techniques as well as spell checking, graphics and text boxes.
Class #3 will cover page setup, headers and footers, symbols and footnotes.
Class #4 will cover adding captions, inserting a table of contents, creating a cover page and watermarks.
