Summer Reading, Mission: Preservation

ruth and the green bookRead a story! Ruth and the Green Book by Calvin Ramsey is a good choice. Through this age-appropriate story, participants will be introduced to segregation in the 1950s.

Investigate! Be a Conservator: Kids will wear white cotton gloves as they explore authentic artifacts from the 1950s, record observations and determine a preservation plan for each object.

Participants will keep gloves and activity books and be encouraged to go home and preserve their own family history!

Join us August 24,  at 1:30 p.m.  Ages 6-12.
